Panchkarma is one of the most important treatment modality in Ayurvedic system of medicine. Panchkarma Department of Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College Paprola came into existence as an independent department in the year 1996 and now it is   imparting quality education to under graduate and   post graduate students of the college. The post graduate department have the intake   capacity of four M.D. Ayu scholars every year for the award of M.D. Ayu ( Panchkarma)  degree of Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. Many batches of M.D Ayu  Panchkarma  have successfully  completed the course  till  now  and  they are  rendering professional services  as  Teachers  and Panchkarma expert in the Various  parts of the country . The department is fully equipped with the necessary equipments of Panchkarma and Himachal Pradesh Government is fully committed for the further development of the Panchkarma unit of the college. Patients from all over the state and neighbouring states are being benefitted by the Panchkarma treatment in the College Hospital. The department is also engaged in imparting  teaching and technical training for Ayurvedic Medical Officers and Paramedical staff of the state.

 Research Projects

Research Projects on various Panchkarma treatment modelities in Psoriasis , PIVD, Osteo- Arthritis, Migraine, Gout, Cervical Spondylitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hemiplegia etc. are being conducted in the department.
